Withdrawing

You can redeem at any time. There are no lock-ups and no waiting periods.

Steps

1. Go to usesam.xyz with your wallet connected.
2. Choose Redeem on the vault you hold (samSUI or samUSDC).
3. Enter how much to redeem (or redeem all) and confirm.
4. You receive the underlying SUI or USDC back in your wallet.

What you get back

Redeeming burns your share tokens and returns their current value: your original deposit plus all the yield those shares earned while you held them. Because the share price only rises as the vault earns, you should always get back at least what you put in, plus growth, minus the small withdraw fee.

Note

The withdraw fee is 0.01% (one cent per hundred dollars). There is no performance fee at withdrawal; the performance fee is only ever taken from yield as it is earned. See Fees and yield.

How fast is it?

Every vault keeps a slice of itself idle (liquid and ready), so small and medium withdrawals are served instantly from that buffer. Larger withdrawals also pull from the lending markets in the same transaction. Either way it is a single transaction and the funds land in your wallet right away.

Caution

Withdrawals can occasionally be limited by liquidity in the underlying markets. If a lending market has lent out most of its cash, the part of your redemption that comes from it is bounded by what it can free at that moment. The idle buffer exists precisely so everyday withdrawals are never affected. See Staying liquid.

The vault is designed to stay fully redeemable down to the last unit. If you ever want to exit completely, redeeming your whole balance returns everything those shares are worth.
